Sharjah 24: Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club athletes at the Qatar International Taekwondo Championship (G1) earned seven medals across a range of weight classes.

The under 48 kg category was won by Saud Omar, and the under 50 kg category was won by Mariam Jassem.

In addition, Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Zuain won silver in the under 68 kg category, while Omar Luai won silver in the under 52 kg category.

All three of our competitors, Saeed Salem (under 30 kg), Ahmed Bashir (youth under 152 cm), and Yahya Omar (over 180 cm), won bronze medals in their respective weight and height categories.

Board Chairman Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Owais thanked the Sharjah Sports Council and the training management for their dedication and hard work. He thanked everyone involved with the team's success, including the players, coaches, and management.

The club has accomplished its mission to proudly represent the Emirate of Sharjah on the world scene and to participate in professional interactions with elite international players, as emphasised by Abdulaziz Al-Hammadi, Director of the Training Department.
