The series, "Abu Abdillah, the Prince of Granada," comprising eight episodes, will soon be showcased on the Sharjah channel and the Maraya platform solidifying its place among the outstanding series presented by the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority on its various channels and platforms.
This captivating historical series is set in the fifteenth century, a period marked by the fall of the Kingdom of Granada, one of the last Islamic kingdoms in Andalusia. The series delves into the lives of its final rulers, exploring a world of conspiracies, adventures, and battles. Filming took place in diverse locations across Spain, as well as in the Moroccan city of Fez.
The series' scenes meticulously capture the life and customs of that era, thanks to careful attention to detail in costumes, furniture, weaponry, battle sequences, and more. The production of the series involved a substantial budget and a considerable cast.
His Excellency Salem Ali Hamad Al Ghaithi, the Director of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, emphasised that this agreement with the Spanish television network would enhance cultural and media ties between the United Arab Emirates and Spain, reinforcing the authority's standing as a premier hub for media and entertainment in the region across its various channels.
