Sharjah TV launches new scientific and economic programmes

Sharjah 24: Following the great success achieved by its programmes during the holy month of Ramadan, and maintaining its position at the forefront of the most watched channels locally, Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) launched a number of programmes, during the month of May targeting different segments of the society focusing on the family, women, culture and economy, and highlighting the development taking place in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Qitaf
As the name suggests, “Qitaf” (harvest) programme focuses on the agricultural production in the Emirate of Sharjah, which has made a great progress in this field, with its successful experience in wheat cultivation, under the supervision and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. “Qitaf”, produced in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, documents the process of producing vegetables, grains and fruits in Sharjah. The programme also discusses the latest technologies used in agricultural and animal production. 

Bint Al Emarat
“Bint Al Emarat” (Daughter of the Emirates) programme addresses the most important achievements of Emirati women and their valuable contribution to the development of their country in different fields. The idea of the programme is based on hosting successful female personalities to talk about their field of expertise. 

Mofakirat Al Shariqah
“Mofakirat Al Shariqah” (Sharjah Notebook) reviews the archives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and His Highness the Crown Prince, and presents, in one minute, three topics discussing the most important events starting from 1989, such as launching projects, convening conferences, sponsoring festivals and events, meeting prominent personalities, and others. The programme is brodcast three times a week.

Nojoum Al Ilm
Sharjah TV is keen to provide children with science and knowledge, and “Nojoum Al Ilm” (Stars of Sciences) programme comes to raise children scientific and cognitive awareness by conducting some scientific experiments in laboratories and testing their intelligence in solving complex mathematical problems. The programme is a joint production with Jump Cut Film Company.

Made in Sharjah
Another economic programme that sheds light on the industrial sector development in the Emirate of Sharjah and reveals the government’s facilities given to investors and businessmen. The programme presents the experience of entrepreneurs who found in Sharjah an incubator for businesses and investments in different fields. The program comes in partnership with ProMedia Company.
Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of Sharjah TV, said that Sharjah TV always seeks to produce  unique programmes, meet the aspirations of the wide audience and complement the educational role entrusted to Sharjah Broadcasting Authority Salem Ali Al Ghaithi added that Sharjah TV aims to highlight the qualitative achievements made in Sharjah, which includes all fields under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

Al Ghaithi concluded that following the great success of Sharjah TV programmes during the holy month of Ramadan, Sharjah TV faced another task represented in promoting success and staying at the top, maintaining its leading position locally and enhancing its competitiveness regionally and globally.
