Sharjah 24: On Sunday night at the Sharjah Sports Club, the Sharjah men's basketball team opened the 2023-2024 sports season with a 108-85 victory over the Al-Wasl team. The second round of the preliminary round began on October 11 with seven teams.
On Saturday, October 21, Sharjah is going to face Al-Dhafra in the third round.
Sharjah has won the General Basketball League championship seven times in the club's history, most recently in the 2019–2020 season under the direction of the team's current national coach, Abdelhamid Ibrahim.
