Sharjah24: Al Hamriyah Club won the title of the preparatory swimming championship organized by the Sharjah Sports Council at the Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club swimming pool, after collecting 46 medals (35 gold, 9 silver and 2 bronze). Al Dhaid Club came in second place and won 27 medals (8 gold, 15 silver and 4 bronze), while Mleiha Club came in third place with 10 medals (gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze).
The tournament was held with the participation of 152 swimmers from the Sharjah, Al Hamriyah, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Bataeh, Mleiha and Al Dhaid clubs, and included 6 different age groups, under the supervision of the Sports Affairs and Development Department of the Council.
The tournament was attended and participated in crowning the winners by His Excellency Humaid Hassan Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Hamriyah Club, Sultan Al Shamsi and Issa Bin Rukn, members of the Board of Directors, Jassim Al Dokhi, Head of the Individual Games Department at the Department of Sports and Development Affairs, and Hassan Al Toumi, the Council’s swimming specialist.
Muhammad Obaid Al-Hussan, Director of the Sports Affairs and Development Department, praised the success of the tournament and the distinguished levels of the swimmers, and praised the level of competition that ensured the emergence of a number of talented and distinguished people.
