Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Charity International, in collaboration with the Islamic Affairs Department in Sharjah, officially opened the " Subul Al Khairat (Paths of Goodness)" Mosque. This mosque, situated in the Al Morada 3 area within Al Suyoh suburb of Sharjah city, spans an impressive 11,202 square meters and was built at a cost of 6.5 million dirhams, thanks to the generous contributions of benefactors.
The mosque, one of the larger ones undertaken by the association, boasts a prayer hall capable of accommodating 1,200 worshipers, both men and women. It also encompasses various amenities, including restrooms, ablution facilities, and ample parking spaces. Additionally, the mosque's design includes living quarters for the Imam and the muezzin. The entire project was estimated to cost 6.5 million dirhams.
The opening ceremony of the mosque was graced by the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Khalifa Yarouf Al-Sabousi,Head of Islamic Affairs Department and Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity International. Also in attendance were officials from both organisations, esteemed community members, and local residents. This mosque now joins the list of mosques that have been constructed across various regions in the Emirate of Sharjah through collaborative efforts with the Department.
Abdullah Al Sabousi emphasised that the new mosque, constructed under the close supervision of the Department and funded by the Sharjah Charity International, stands as a remarkable architectural masterpiece and a prominent landmark in Sharjah. It enhances the city's grandeur with its minarets while blending Islamic architectural traditions with a modern touch. The opening aligns with the Department's plan for the current year, aiming to make worship more accessible and peaceful for residents. This is in line with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who holds mosque construction, management, and support in high regard.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem expressed that mosque construction projects represent the tangible outcomes of collaboration with various entities in promoting and sustaining charitable work, as well as diversifying its scope.
