Sharjah24: Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club achieved remarkable success in embracing the people of the country during its summer activities, by winning third place in the “sports clubs category” in the Sharjah Summer Sports Award ceremony, “Our Holiday is Different.”
Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club victory was the result of organising a group of summer programme activities for males, that lasted from July 10 to August 3, 2023.
This summer programme was characterised by great participation by citizens and residents alike, as the events saw a total participation of 2815 participants over a period of 16 days. The programme achieved an average citizen participation of 74%, with an average participant satisfaction rate with the events and activities reaching 93%.
Noticeable successes were achieved in the cultural and sporting aspects during this programme, as 20 workshops and lectures were organised, as well as 7 daily sporting and entertainment events, in addition to a heritage exhibition and various competitions. A combined cultural competition was also organised for Sharjah clubs.
Dibba Al Hisn Club cooperated with a group of institutions and entities in the community, where 10 successful community partnerships were achieved.
It should be noted that the club proudly participates in club competitions, including PlayStation competitions, heritage games, and the water festival.
The club received the honouring in a ceremony recently organised by Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), in the presence of Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of SSC and Abdul Malik Jani, Vice-Chairman of SSC, where Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Al Mutawa Al Hindassi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club, and Ahmed Al Qassib Al Naqbi the Vice-Chairman of the Cultural Committee, received the award during the closing ceremony.
Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa Al Hindassi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club, said that the achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of all who contributed to the success of the summer programme, and the club is proud of the participation of the community and the valuable partnerships that have been developed with local institutions.
Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa Al Hindassi continued by saying that the achievement confirms the prominent role played by the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club in promoting sports and culture in the Emirate of Sharjah, and represents a pioneering model for sports clubs in the emirate.
