Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Ladies Club is delighted to announce it will be celebrating World Wellness Weekend 2023, set to take place between September 15th and 17th. World Wellness Weekend encourages people to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and the Club, its headquarters and all affiliated branches will be taking part in the weekend’s events.
Offering a variety of fitness and entertainment activities, the Club’s World Wellness Weekend focuses on the importance of women’s health and promote healthier lifestyle choices. These activities will underscore the significance of everyday physical activity and fitness as a way of improving wellbeing and quality of life.
Describing the importance of the event, Mrs. Duaa Al Mahri, Director of Corporate Communication, said: “Sharjah Ladies Club and its branches are honoured to be taking part in this event for the fifth year in a row. Our aim is to empower women and encourage them to lead a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle, by giving them access to a range of enlightening workshops, demonstrations, and lectures that are a real blend of fun and education.”
She added: “Sharjah Ladies Club constantly strives to keep up with the latest developments in the studies of women’s and children’s health. Following three consecutive wins of the coveted Wellness Champion award, we are cementing our place as an establishment committed to improving the health and wellbeing of women and girls.”
The main club and the branches will all participate in the weekend’s celebrations, by offering a diverse programme of events, promotions, and special services.
Over the three days, Sharjah Ladies Club’s headquarters will host a range of activities, including fitness classes at Fitness 180 Centre. Members will be able to enjoy free access to gym equipment throughout the event, as well as a live smoothie demo and sampling organized by Fitness Cafe to promote a healthier lifestyle. On September 16th, both Dalouk Wellness Spa and Orchid Beauty Boutique will be providing complimentary skin treatments using Image Skin Care products.
Meanwhile, Collage Talent Centre will engage children through an awareness talk from Sage Wellness Clinic, which will focus on self-esteem and teaching them how they can gain confidence and learn to appreciate others. On September 15th there will also be arts and crafts sessions for youngsters, including pottery classes and beach hat making.
Arts and crafts sessions will also be held by Basateen Preschool, while the Sports Complex will offer Marine arts & crafts workshop in collaboration with Sharjah Aquarium.
On September 17th there will be an informative lecture on positive reinforcement in child-rearing from Mamahood, giving parents valuable tips on bringing up confident children.
In conjunction with the event, Sharjah Ladies Club Branches will be taking part by holding lectures, classes, and special offers for the participants to encourage them to take care of their physical and mental health.
An awareness lecture on wellbeing will be held at Al Hamriya Branch on September 13th, where yoga sessions and nutritious snacks will be offered.
As for Al Mudam Branch, on September 16th, participants will enjoy stretching and relaxation classes, followed by a workshop on preparing healthy foods and decorating dishes. The event will also be accompanied by a “Health Challenge,” which will include a running contest on September 18th.
At Wadi Al Hilo Branch, the celebrations will extend to the 22nd, and will feature workshops, yoga classes, and a weight loss challenge, in addition to various complimentary services.
