Sharjah Media City (Shams) hosted the fifth annual Young Arab Media Leaders (YAML) Programme today, which is organised by the Arab Youth Centre. The participants received an update on the most recent "Shams" experiences, practices, and services.
With 51 participants from 18 different Arab countries, the Young Arab Media Leaders Programme seeks to nurture "green" talents while also enhancing the connection to Arab identity and language.
"Young, qualified, and media-trained talents have a vital role to play in conveying a positive cultural image of inspiring success stories achieved by the country and the region and in driving development across various fields," said Dr Khaled Omar Al Midfa, Chairman (Shams). He urged those in attendance to use cutting-edge tools to improve Arab media.
There were three gatherings held during the visit. The first was with the Chairman of Shams, the second with Fajr Qasim Ali, Media Sector Development Advisor at Shams, and the third with Abdullah Al Sharhan, Director of the Creativity and Corporate Identity Department, focused on youth, social media, and AI.
