Sharjah24: Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurial Projects (Ruwad) affiliated to the Sharjah Economic Development Department, announced its participation in the 12th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) 2023, which will begin on Wednesday, and continues until Thursday, at the Sharjah Expo Center.
His Excellence Director of the "Ruwad" Foundation Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud explained that the participation is part of the ongoing effort to advance the idea of entrepreneurship in society and to transfer to the Emirate of Sharjah the Foundation's expertise in the area of developing small and medium-sized national entrepreneurial projects as well as displaying its optimistic vision to foster the entrepreneurship environment and advance sustainable development goals.

Al Mahmoud emphasised that the International Government Communication Forum in Sharjah is known as a top-notch and effective venue for inspiring youth, exchanging best practices and experiences, and bringing in speakers and experts in this field, noting that entrepreneurship is closely linked to the objectives of sustainable development and keeping up with technological advancements that in turn affect the nature of business, especially related to Artificial intelligence and technology. 

Sheikha Al Muallem, Head of the Entrepreneurship Training Department at "Ruwad", will participate in a session hosted by the Sharjah Youth Council on Wednesday morning, to discuss the contribution of youth to economic development, the opportunities for projects in the area of sustainability, and the role of entrepreneurship in developing various projects that keeping up with the nation's goals to develop its knowledge-based national economy, as well as talking about the function of the nation's governmental and financial institutions in the area of supporting and financing national projects.


Fatima Al Ali, Director of the Project Support and Finance Department, will provide at a dialogue session on Thursday morning an overview of the findings of a study, which was conducted to evaluate the impact of the Foundation's services on the sustainability of small and medium enterprises in the Emirate of Sharjah. The purpose of this study, which was conducted on a sample of entrepreneurial projects connected to the organization's membership, is to assess the effects of the organization's membership, financing, consulting, training, and other services on the sustainability of these projects and the creation of an environment that is conducive to both male and female entrepreneurs.

Two Emirati business owners, Alia Al-Hamidi, the owner of the Smart Link project, and Bashayer Jamal, the owner of the Tethkar Flowers and Gifts project, will also be featured in this session. They will engage in a rich dialogue discussion to share their unique experiences in the world of entrepreneurship, including ambition and desire to turn dreams and ideas into an illuminating success story, and provide crucial advice and guidance for business owners so they can continue to achieve an inspiring outcome.
