Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) is hosting the eleventh annual International Government Communication Forum (IGCF), and Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) is paying close attention to the event as part of its commitment to improving government communication.
The forum, titled "Today's Resources, Tomorrow's Wealth," will be held on September 13 and 14 at Expo Centre Sharjah and will bring together several government organisations and worldwide players in the field of government communication.

Sharjah Channel will air the opening ceremony of the twelfth edition as part of the media authority's objective to spotlight the particulars of this major international event. Special stories and interviews with experts and visitors will also be featured on "Al Dar" news broadcasts.

Sharjah Radio's "An Qurb" (Up Close) programme, hosted by Ahmad Boukalah and Mariam Al Ajil from 11 a.m. to noon, features extensive coverage of the International Government Communication Forum.

Experts and forum attendees will be discussing the importance of communication in government wealth management over the course of the programme.

Radio Pulse 95" broadcasts live coverage of the forum every day from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. (during the "Morning Majlis" programme presented by Rania Saadi, Abdul Karim Hanif, and Luai Danham) and again from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the "Eyes On" show hosted by Aisha Al Mazmi.

The authority's digital media team is preparing specialised coverage of the forum's workshops and real-time updates on significant events and discussions for online audiences.

The authority's associated Sharjah Media Training Centre is holding four workshops during the forum to fulfil its mission of improving the communication abilities of media students and government communication professionals. Workshop topics for the first day include "Production and Filming of Environmental Programmes" (10 AM–12 PM) and "News Verification Skills" (1 PM–3 PM). Day two features "Media Appearance Skills" from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by "Photography and Editing Skills for Social Media Platforms" from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

During the International Government Communication Forum, Maraya Platform, which is part of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, will be presenting its accomplishments. The authority's Engineering Technology Division will also showcase its most recent accomplishments, with an emphasis on cloud TV.

Sharjah Broadcasting Authority Director-General Mohammed Hassan Khalaf stated that the authority's presence at the eleventh annual International Government Communication Forum demonstrates the authority's dedication to improving and expanding government broadcasting. It provides an opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge in the field of media and communication and their insights with others.
