Sharjah24: On the occasion of International Charity Day, the Sharjah Housing Programme (SHP), in partnership with the Department of Social Services, arranged for a community project to be carried out through a group of volunteers who named themselves the "Sharjah Housing Volunteers. They gave food and other supplies to the labourers at the building sites.
The participation of senior citizens in community activities is one of the goals of this programme, along with fostering a culture of humanitarianism among workers and making a contribution to the long-term viability of philanthropic endeavours in society.
