Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Municipal Council held its first meeting, at the headquarters of Al Hamriyah Municipality, in implementation of the Emiri Decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which called for the holding of municipal councils’ meetings in the Emirate of Sharjah, for the first ordinary session of the 19th annual term.
Topics of the first meeting stressed that Al Hamriyah Municipal Council and Al Hamriyah Municipality shall implement development plans and strategies under the umbrella of Sharjah Executive Council, aiming at improving the quality of citizens’ life, as well as achieving the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah for sustainable development, upgrading services and improving infrastructure.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Humaid Saif bin Samha Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Municipal Council, and was attended by the council members, His Excellency Humaid Fayez Al Shamsi, Vice Chairman of Al Hamriyah Municipal Council, His Excellency Majid Ali Saif Al Shamsi, His Excellency Talib Rashid Al Musafiri, His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al Muhairi, His Excellency Ali Rashid Al Shamsi, His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, and the council’s Secretariat.
The meeting discussed a number of important topics on its agenda, related to projects and programmes aiming at developing Al Hamriyah region. The meeting also stressed the need to enhance cooperation and coordination between different government entities and departments in the Emirate of Sharjah to achieve the aspirations of citizens, meet their needs, and implement development projects.
In this context, the Chairman and members of the Council and the Director of the Municipality expressed their gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for His Highness's great support and care, and for His Highness's constant interest in the well-being of citizens and the development of services. They praised His Highness’s permanent directives aimed at achieving development in all fields and implementing different projects in Al Hamriyah region and all cities and regions of the Emirate.
