Sharjah 24: A delegation comprising members from the Department of Public Works in the Central Region and the Sharjah Sports Council conducted a visit to inspect the recently completed construction works at Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track.
The visit was attended by His Excellency Matar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, Engineer Khalifa Al Dermeqi, Director of the Department of Public Works in the Central Region, and representatives from the Sharjah Sports Council, Engineer Khalifa Al Suwaidi and Engineer Mohammed Tareq.
During the visit, Al Ketbi expressed appreciation for the positive cooperation between the Sharjah Sports Council and the Public Works Department in enhancing their joint efforts to serve camel owners and develop camel racing in the Emirate of Sharjah.
This aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to develop Al Dhaid Camel Racing Club and support camel racing to preserve the heritage of our ancestors.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of the final construction works and discuss various topics related to the development of the race track.
