Sharjah24: Abdulrahman Ibrahim Al Darmaki, General Secretary of Ittihad Kalba Cultural and Sports Club (IKCSC) , reaffirmed the club's commitment to continue its efforts to improve and sustain community, cultural, and sports initiatives and services that benefit Kalba city and the people of Sharjah, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Al Darmaki expressed heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his ongoing support and recognition of the club.
Al Darmaki emphasised the club's success, which is evident in the recruitment of numerous of its players into national teams and associations, and stated that a unique plan has been devised, inspired by the vision and mission drawn from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's orders.
This strategy includes a variety of initiatives that will be introduced in the following days, such as collaborations with Kalba schools to promote the club's culture, find talents, and organise sports and cultural activities in collaboration with local entities and institutions.
One of Ittihad Kalba Cultural and Sports Club's community activities is to provide services for senior individuals in order to improve their abilities and preserve their well-being.
With the participation of 130 members, the club organised an educational and recreational summer programme for the city's youth in collaboration with Suhaila Council and the Department of Social Services, as well as various institutions and departments in Kalba.
Ittihad Kalba has held more than 25 educational, recreational, and cultural events. The club has also worked with the Department of Social Services, including participants with disabilities and senior residents, and the department has given lectures to players aged 10 to 18.
Al Darmaki also emphasised the club's involvement in the Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi Award for Sports Excellence, noting that the club had the most participation of any club in the emirate.
In addition, the club, along with other clubs in the emirate and the Sharjah Sports Council, participated in sustainability efforts and supported ISO regulations.
According to Abdulrahman Al Darmaki, "the club’s future plans and aspirations include promoting Kalba and hosting local and regional championships."
