Sharjah24: Under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, the 4th Forum for Women in Scientific Research was inaugurated on the occasion of Emirati Women's Day with the theme "Empowerment: Towards Sustainable Empowerment of Women in Scientific Research and Innovation."
University of Sharjah (UOS) Chancellor Prof. Dr Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi said the university is excited to host the 4th Forum for Women in Scientific Research and emphasised the forum's significance beyond the United Arab Emirates.
Sharjah 24 reported that the University of Sharjah is deeply committed to this cause, as seen by the hundreds of research articles submitted by female scholars in this forum. When it comes to citations for scientific research, this university ranks 68th worldwide, making it the best in the United Arab Emirates.
Science, research institutions, centres of excellence, and research projects were the driving forces behind this success, according to Dr Al Nuaimi. Women researchers at the University of Sharjah contributed significantly to this result.
