Sharjah 24: In a step of appreciation and recognition, the Arab Trainers Union presented accreditation certificates to a number of members of Arab Theatre Institute (ATI).
The accreditation aims to enhance the position of the team members as trainers of trainers, teachers, and for school theatre, especially since this specific training specialisation was a result of the trainers participation in the "Strategy for developing school theatre in the Arab world" projects, which began in 2015 and within a ten-year plan. An elite group of Arab experts, members of the project’s scientific follow-up committee, participated in qualifying the Arab team.
The project leaders established training and qualification courses at different levels, starting from training school theatre animators for kindergarten and three school stages, and training of trainers from members of the national groups in most Arab countries, all the way to specialised training for school theatre teachers.
A number of members of the Scientific Follow-up Committee and the core team also contributed to developing the theatre curriculum for the Emirati School, from first to twelfth grade, while an elite group of them prepared university graduates during their studies to be qualified as trainers capable of working and training after their graduation.
The Secretary-General of the Arab Theatre Institute, Ismail Abdullah, appreciated the step of the Arab Trainers Union in providing this accreditation and appreciated the union’s confidence in what the Institute had accomplished in preparing these trainers.
Ismail Abdullah also congratulated the team members who obtained the accreditation, stressing that the accreditation opens new spaces for training activities in this sector and new horizons.
It is worth noting that the Arab Trainers Union is an Arab accreditation organisation, working within the framework of the Council for Arab Economic Unity at the Arab League, working to establish the training profession and accredit trainers and workers in the field of training and training programmes with an accredited certificate in all Arab countries.
The union is headquartered in the city of Amman in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Certificates were awarded to the ladies and gentlemen: Sharifa Musa from the UAE, certified training manager; Amani Balaj from Tunisia, certified training specialist; Riad Sawalha and Fairouz Nastas from Palestine; Dr. Mustafa Estito from Morocco; Mounir Al Ammari from Tunisia; and Zainab Ghanem from Syria, certified trainer.
