Sharjah24: A group of young members from the Sharjah Youth Consultative Council, hosted by Nasayem Sharjah and Sajaya Girls of Sharjah, both entities falling under the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, presented an array of inspiring and valuable initiatives and discussions focused on upholding and safeguarding heritage. This occurred during the inaugural youth session held yesterday at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, under the theme "Youth Dialogue: Bridging Heritage and the Future."
This youth session formed a significant part of the agenda for the eighth edition of the Sharjah Youth Consultative Council, held under the banner "Twenty-Five Years of Parliamentary Excellence." Its primary objectives included empowering members of the Sharjah Youth Consultative Council to share their ideas and proposals pertaining to heritage. Additionally, it aimed to provide a platform for the organisers of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage to gain insights into youth aspirations, collect their viewpoints, and develop initiatives that cater to young people in the domain of heritage.

Guided by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, Chairperson of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, the session featured discussions that addressed the council members' inquiries, explored their ideas, and deliberated on their initiatives geared towards the preservation and protection of heritage.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam underscored the role played by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in safeguarding heritage, highlighting its dual role as a research and cultural institution, as well as its significant contributions in raising public awareness about the significance of heritage.

Commending the innovative ideas presented by the council's young participants, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam emphasised their evident awareness and appreciation of the importance of conserving, and promoting our heritage both locally and globally.
