Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) announced the launch of new and flexible digital banking services with improved interactive interfaces that included many important features that have been added to the smart application services and online banking services.
This step comes shortly after the bank launched the flexible long-term deposit (Flexi) and fixed deposit (SIB MaxPlus), which included many banking advantages related to diversifying savings options, and obtaining rewarding and safe returns. This also falls under the efforts of improving the digital customer experience, providing the best banking solutions, and to keep pace with the rapid technical development in the field of technical systems around the world, especially banking.
On this occasion, Waleed Al Amoudi, Head of Digital Banking Services at Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB), said: “The bank is constantly keen to apply the latest digital banking solutions around the world, and focuses mainly on customer experience in order to provide the appropriate ones to our valued customers, especially those that are compatible with Islamic law and consistent with their various interests in the areas of saving, investment and others.”
He added: “The most prominent characteristic of the new solutions that were launched is the speed and ease of obtaining them through SIB’s digital services through the smart application SIB Digital, and online services, without the need to visit the bank’s branches, while saving effort, time and money. We also affirm in light keeping pace with the renewed and accelerating developments of global banking technologies, the continuation to study more available options in order to adopt the appropriate ones in the next few period, in order to enhance its position as a leading Islamic bank, and highlight the strength of its various and flexible banking systems and solutions.”
The developmental updates added by SIB to the smart application service and the online banking service included a number of main features that were divided into three areas, the first area included the provision of long-term flexible deposit account services and fixed deposit account services, and also included the payment of Ajman Sewerage Company bills, VAT registration for companies, invoice issuance and payment, customer notifications related to trade finance, and others.
The second area included improving the user's interactive interface and making it more user-friendly, while the third area included improving performance, as in light of this feature it is possible to obtain smoother and faster browsing, in addition to a significant improvement in response, along with other reforms by updating the SIB Digital application.
SIB succeeded in achieving qualitative leaps in digital transformation that enabled it to launch many smart banking services through its website and through its smart applications, and to replace ATMs with the latest fleet equipped with cash and check deposit capabilities and many modern features, in addition to providing quality solutions to customers.
