Al Subaihiya Suburb Council organises residents’ forum

The event is conisidered the most prominent event for the suburb in the context of its vision to promote a strong connection between families and officials of government institutions operating in Khorfakkan.

The forum is organised as an extension of the keenness of Al Subaihiya Suburb Council to enhance its continuous communication with the people within the suburb councils in the Emirate of Sharjah affiliated to the SDVAD, which follows organising initiatives, and presenting activities that serve the community.

The forum witnessed the attendance of His Excellency Khaled Ahmed Obaid Al Shehhi, Chairman of Al Subaihiya Suburb Council, His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, members of Al Subaihiya Suburb Council, council employees, a number of officials of government entities and residents from the areas affiliated to the suburb.

Khaled Ahmed Obaid Al Shehhi, Chairman of Al Subaihiya Suburb Council, confirmed at the outset of the forum that the suburb council is pleased with the gathering of families, and pointed out that this forum comes to take a different approach from the activities and programmes that were previously organised, especially with the remarkable family presence, in line with the theme of the forum and its objectives.

The event saw the honouring of distinguished high school graduates, as well as those who performed the rituals of Hajj this year.

He congratulated the graduates, their parents and their families, and stressed the importance of continuing their excellence, to support the realisation of the great vision of UAE, and blessed the efforts of the wise leadership in all fields for the sake of the advancement of the homeland.

After that, a number of issues related to the residents of the suburb were raised and reviewed in the presence of the Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council and a number of officials, in the context of the forum.
