Sharjah 24: In an effort to uphold its commitment to environmental diversity in the region, the Sharjah Falconers Club (SFC) has launched the "Sustainable Bird Watering Project."
This initiative aligns with their annual sustainable activities and coincides with the start of the summer season.
The primary objective is to ensure a steady water supply for birds across various locations, particularly those with high bird populations, to address their water needs and prevent fatalities due to hunger and thirst during the hot summer months.
The project involves collaboration among several stakeholders, including government authorities and clubs in the central region.
They aim to protect the birds' well-being by distributing water containers and food in different sites.
Recently, a delegation from the SFC visited government departments and clubs to distribute these watering containers, reinforcing their commitment to environmental preservation in the area.
Mohammed Khalifa Albedwawi, CEO of Sharjah Falconers Club (SFC), expressed his appreciation for the collective effort and enthusiasm shown by all parties involved in receiving and deploying the water and food containers.
The initiative will not only provide sustenance for the birds during their flights but also help alleviate the challenges posed by the summer heat, support their reproduction, and maintain their presence in the region.
