Sharjah 24: Since its inception, the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has been eager to bring about changes in the educational services system by implementing a comprehensive strategy and well-thought-out plans that bring together various educational partners in accordance with the educational position of the Emirate of Sharjah and that meet the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Despite the consequences of the Corona virus, the Authority launched the "Arabic Language Remotely" project to fulfil its objectives. As the number of educational sessions organised by the Authority reached 16, it also organised development training sessions for the sector with its departments, heads of departments, and instructors on the basis of a training day every Tuesday. 7,000 people benefited from virtual training.

The authority created the "With Arabic, We Advance" project, which included classroom visits and field training. The authority also transferred the fruits of its labour into the private sector by creating the "Teacher, I am proud" programme under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah's Emiratisation Project.

Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi, the Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, confirmed that the Authority, in collaboration with departments and through the Department of Continuous Improvement, organises events, activities, and competitions in support of the Arabic language with the goal of promoting the Arab identity of learners, both male and female.

Under the sponsorship and presence of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the authority organised the first worldwide event for Arabic teachers, titled "Arabic is a future and an identity." The forum featured eight workshops and four debate sessions, as well as 16 experts and specialists and 16 speakers. Workshop on remote training.

The forum attracted 370 visitors, including administrative educators, people interested in teaching Arabic, and educational cadres, as well as 4,700 participants in virtual sessions and workshops.

The authority was able to accomplish quality outputs during its journey, the most notable of which are the outcomes of the "Mastery" programme in the Arabic language and related materials in private sector schools in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Sharjah Private Education Authority's Director, Ali Al Hosani, lauded the Itqan programme's outcomes, which show improvement and consistent development.

The authority has been eager to increase student participation in international events hosted by the Emirate of Sharjah, particularly the Sharjah International Book Fair, where 75 schools participated in the exhibition over the past two years and 420 students participated in the "A Character from My Favourite Book" activity.

In addition, teachers from the "Teacher and I am Proud" programme gave renowned workshops at the Sharjah Reading Festival for Children, which helped strengthen students' roles and inspire them to read, which is at the core of teaching and learning.
