Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) persistently pushes forward with its lighting projects in the central region. Notably, three projects have recently been completed, encompassing the illumination of Al Dhaid-Al Fujairah Road, Souq Al Jubail in Al Dhaid, and the new Al Dhaid Mosque. These initiatives involved the installation of 304 lighting poles and 490 lamps.
Khalifa Mohammed Al Tunaiji , Director of SEWA’s Central Region Management, emphasised the authority's commitment to its development plan, implementing lighting projects throughout diverse areas and neighbourhoods in the central region. The newly accomplished projects, executed during the second quarter of the current year, consist of installing 174 lighting poles (12 meters high) and 318 400w sodium lamps for Al Dhaid-Al Fujairah Road, totaling AED 1.12 million. For Souq Al Jubail in Al Dhaid, 86 lighting poles (10 meters high) and 125 energy-efficient LED100W lamps were set up, with a cost of AED 800,000. Similarly, the new Al Dhaid Mosque's lighting project included 44 lighting poles (8 meters high) and 47 energy-saving LED80W lamps, amounting to AED 380,000.
The lighting projects in the central area adhere to the highest specifications and standards, meticulously selecting suitable locations for different road types—main, secondary, and highways—considering various factors like pole distances, heights, and the number of lamps required. The dedicated team at the Central Area Management tirelessly endeavours to fulfill the needs and demands of the residents, offering them exemplary services.
