Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs (SDIA) announced the outlets for distributing the new version of the Hijri calendar for the year 1445, according to the times of the Emirate of Sharjah and its environs, in the department’s branches and suburb councils in the Emirate.
The cover of the Hijri calendar includes a picture of Al Dhaid Mosque, which is located on Al Dhaid Square, opposite the Al Wusta Canal building, inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, last Ramadan.
The design of the calendar took into account the consistency of colours with the cover, as it contains the dates of official holidays and religious and national occasions, coupled with the days and months of the Gregorian year with its various occasions.
The daily calendar paper also contains the honourable prophetic commandments, legal directives, and other wisdom and scientific benefits distributed throughout the year.
The SDIA indicated that it had completed the first phase, as the calendar was distributed to all mosques and chapels in the Emirate, while the second phase was allocated to government and private departments, bodies, institutions and the public, starting from Wednesday, July 19.
The SDIA announced the outlets for distributing the calendar to individuals wishing to obtain it by reviewing the department’s offices during official working hours, in the city of Sharjah (the department’s office in Al Rahmaniyah suburb, the department’s office in Al Qarain 1 area, the department’s office in Dasman, and the King Faisal Mosque in the Al Soor area), and in the Central Region in Al Dhaid office, and in the Eastern Region in the Khorfakkan office, the Kalba office, and the Dibba Al Hisn office.
The SDIA also cooperates with the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department in distributing the calendar to the people through the suburb councils in the Emirate during the morning and evening periods.
The SDIA indicated that it provides an electronic copy of the Hijri calendar through its smart application, electronic platforms and social networks.
