Sharjah24: The international designer was accompanied during the visit by Mohammed Hilal Al-Hazami, member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and they were received by the members of the Board of Directors.
Pinky Lai has won multiple international design awards and worked for major automotive manufacturers.
Lai commended Sharjah's interest in vintage automobile exclusivity throughout the Arab world and Middle East during his visit.
Lai toured over 100 of the Sharjah Vintage Car Museum's most notable old vehicles, motorcycles, and bicycles. Starting with Ford, the museum's five parts show the motor industry's evolution. Model T through 1974 MG Midget, 1969 Mercedes-Benz Pullman, owned by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, The 1915-vintage automobiles at the museum are rare.
Dr Ali Ahmed Abu Al-Zawd, Chairman of the Sharjah Club for Old Cars, said, "We are working within the vision of the Sharjah Sports Council to achieve the goals of the club in attracting designers and innovators around the world who have had a clear imprint in the automotive industry, and "Binky Lee" is one of the most important of these designers who inspired them.
