Sharjah24: Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chief of Sharjah Ruler's Office in Khorfakkan inaugurated on Friday the activities of the 2nd edition of the annual Mango Festival at the Khorfakkan Expo Centre.
In the presence of Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chief of Sharjah Ruler's Office in Khorfakkan, the Mango Festival kicked off on Friday ,on June 23rd through the 25th, being organised by the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Agricultural Club, His Excellency Khamis Al Suwaidi, Advisor to the Ruler's Office in Sharjah, and His Excellency Dr. Sulaiman Suhail Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs in the Sharjah.
The ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), His Excellency Salem Ali Al Mehairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Municipal Council, His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, Her Excellency Shatha Saeed Al Ali, Member of the Federal National Council, FNC, and a host of officials.
Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler Office in Khorfakkan, stated that the festival witnessed remarkable development in its second edition, praising the efforts of the organizers in providing various types of support for the success of the festival.

He added that the Festival reflects the country’s agricultural history and the eastern coastal region in particular, providing different types of fruits and citrus fruits.
Lauded the large and diverse participation of companies, farmers, and productive families, Al Qasimi stressed that the festival provides the public with wide options and great opportunities to learn about the most important advancements in the agricultural field.
