Sharjah24: In the last decade, Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has donated over 28.5 million dirhams to help displaced people. The society is fulfilling its humanitarian mission by providing this aid to those who have been impacted by recent crises and natural catastrophes.
Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Charity International, said that the society had donated DH 26.9 million ($7.8 million) to provide food and clothing for poor and needy families as a result of the Syrian crisis and had also donated DH 1.6 million to aid the Rohingya affected.

This help represents the tremendous efforts of the UAE in supporting philanthropic and humanitarian activities internationally and enhances the UAE's position as the greatest giver of humanitarian aid, in addition to treating numerous patients that require therapeutic and surgical intervention.

The children's mobile clinic initiative received funding and assistance from Sharjah Charity International, which also sponsored relief campaigns and sent essential supplies to refugees in the Levant. The "Hand in Hand for Syria" campaign was organised by the association in conjunction with the Al-Qasba Development Office to raise money for Syrian refugees.
