Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has launched the "Eid Al Adha" campaign, with a budget of 7 million dirhams to support needy families. This was revealed by Abdullah bin Khadim, Executive Director of the SCI during a press conference the SCI organised at the Wasit Suburb Council.
Abdullah bin Khadim stated that the campaign comes annually with a package of initiatives that meet the needs of the needy and seeks to bring joy and happiness into homes. The campaign provides 3,000 Eid sacrifices inside the country and 8,000 outside the country, in addition to Eid clothing for 1,000 families.
Speaking to “Sharjah 24”, the Executive Director of the SCI confirmed that 100 people will have the opportunity to perform Hajj. Moreover, 10 initiatives will be implemented over a period of 10 days from the end of the month of Dhul Hijjah. This includes providing medical care to patients, paying rentals for unprivileged families, digging wells to provide fresh water, providing Iftar meals for the fasting person on the day of Arafah, relieving affliction, paying tuition fees for those in difficulty, and dialysis for patients with kidney failure.
Abdullah bin Khadim added that the SCI’s campaign, supported by philanthropists, aims to alleviate the burdens on needy families, and emphasise the importance of charitable work and synergy in society.
