Speaking to “Sharjah24”, Al Sharif said the initiative will provide around 50 prosthetic limbs to 50 people who lost limbs in Gaza. He added that charitable organisations, both inside and outside the UAE, have been keen to join the programme, given the positive response it has received in the field of prosthetic care.
Al Sharif put the UAE's total humanitarian contribution through these operations at more than 46 per cent of global aid to Gaza, worth over $3.1 billion. He said the UAE would continue standing by its Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza until the crisis comes to an end.
