Sharjah 24: His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Prevention and Safety Authority, honoured the government entities that complied with the requirements of the national standard for the business continuity management system in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, and a delegation from the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority witnessed the honouring.
Eng. Lamia Abdulaziz Al Noman, Director of Support Services Department at the Prevention and Safety Authority, congratulated the seven government entities that complied with the requirements of the national standard for the business continuity management system in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Sharjah Police, the Sharjah International Airport Authority, the Department of Finance, the Sharjah Department of Public Works, the Sharjah Economic Development Department, the Department of Civil Aviation, and the Sharjah Department of Human Resources received this honour for their compliance with the necessary standards that ensure complete readiness and the provision of basic services without interruption.
Al Noman revealed that the business continuity system identifies vital services and analyses the impact of their interruption. In addition to providing response plans to ensure the continuity of providing services without interruption, regardless of any circumstance or emergency.
She added: "We encourage all government entities to comply with this standard, and to enhance the quality of life and service of the Emirate of Sharjah."
