Sharjah24: Sharjah Social Services Department organised a dialogue session entitled "Family Stability", in cooperation with the Emirates Friends of Seniors' Citizens Association, in the Mughaidir Suburb, intending to enhance awareness of issues related to families and increase knowledge of the social, economic, and demographic processes affecting them.
The social education of the SSSD and 30 members of the Association participated in the dialogue.
Maryam Al Qaseer, Director of the Social Education Department, emphasised the UAE's great interest regarding the family.
She explained that family stability means a successful family relationship based on permanent interaction between all family members and prepares children for a social, cultural, and religious life. In addition, stability is characterised by the rule of love and cooperation among its members in managing family affairs.
She emphasised that family stability leads to family cohesion and its physiological, psychological and social interdependence.
Tariq Musifer, a social responsibility specialist, dealt with how to achieve family stability, which begins with setting joint goals and plans among family members, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of family members, striving to strengthen them, motivating the family's resilience, developing rules, regulations, and joint decisions within the family, and building the self-worth of each member of the family, by teaching children how to meet their needs without offending or harming anyone, and teach the child how to deal with the situation differently to become more positive and have a constructive personality in the family.
The session was concluded by Alia Al Suwaidi, a social trainer and presenter of the dialogue session, by saying that family stability is a desired demand and an urgent need, and through it, society stabilizes, and tranquility and reassurance are achieved.
