Al Mehrezi confirmed, in exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", that the results showed that the Sharjah population has grown to 1.8 million, of whom 208,000 are Sharjah citizens.
The number of students enrolled in Sharjah educational institutions reached 311,000, 249,000 are in private schools and the rest are in public schools.
He added that the working population reached 1.1 million, and it is scheduled to announce the population numbers in each emirate city in the upcoming period.
The statistical data is critical in the decision-making process and planning future projects and services in line with the needs of Sharjah citizens and residents.
