Bin Khadim follows up 2023 IAWS preparations

Sharjah 24: Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Vice President of the World Federation of Disabled (WFoD), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled in Sharjah accompanied by Ahmed Salem Al-Mazloum, Executive Director of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled, paid an official visit to the city of Khorat in Thailand to follow up on 2023 International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) World Games, to be held in December 2023.
During the visit, Dr. Tariq bin Khadim met with the Organising Committee officials to discuss the necessary arrangements and equipment for the success of this important global sports event. Dr. Tariq bin Khadim praised Thailand's efforts in organising IWAS and preparing the necessary infrastructure to receive athletes with motor disabilities and amputations. He expressed his confidence in the success of the event and emphasised the importance of promoting sports and enabling people with motor disabilities to participate to their full potential in the sports field.

On the sidelines of his follow-up to the general preparations for the Games, Dr. Tariq bin Khadim also visited the Olympic champion, Mohammed Al Qayed, in his training camp, in preparation for the upcoming events. Dr. Tariq bin Khadim stressed that he is confident that Al Qayed will make more achievements.

In the same context, Ahmed Salem Al Mazloum affirmed the efforts of the IWAS organising committee to host the great sporting event. He also praised the success of the training camp of Mohammed Al-Qayed, stressing that he is ready for the upcoming challenges, as he showed his great dedication and strong desire to represent the UAE in the best possible way.
 
The Olympic champion, Mohammed Al Qayed, also expressed his happiness with the visit, praising the efforts of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled headed by Dr. Tariq bin Khadim for their continuous support providing all capabilities and organising training camps where joint training takes place with the Thai team in preparation for IWAS.
