Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah approved the Sharjah-Mleiha Road Maintenance Project, which will extend from the Badi Bridge to the intersection connecting Mleiha Road and Sheikh Khalifa Street and will be 20 kilometres long in total.
During his conversation on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority 's "Direct Line" programme, hosted by Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, Abdullah Al Ali, Deputy Director of the Road Maintenance Department at the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, announced His Highness' accreditation on the project.
The project will be completed in four phases, according to Al Ali, and the road will be totally reconstructed, with three lanes in addition to the road shoulder. He pointed out that the internal procedure and the tender are now complete, and the protocols and traffic diversion permits are being coordinated with the Sharjah Police General Command.
