This qualification is part of Al Hamriyah municipality's strategy to continue training a number of its functional staff from various departments to play their role in preventing and intervening in accidents and injuries in field and construction work sites.
The training programs included three main areas: fire fighting and evacuation, first aid, and health and safety in construction work. According to His Excellency Mubarak Rashed Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, these are the first batch of professionals to be licensed in safety, environmental, and occupational health fields, aimed at protecting human resources from accidents and injuries. He also stated that the training program will continue to increase the number of qualified individuals to respond to emergency situations by nominating suitable candidates from their departments and sections to join the training programs.
Al Shamsi presented the licensing certificates from the sponsoring company to 18 qualified professionals at a ceremony organised by the municipality in its headquarters yesterday.
