I read", which will be organised at the beginning of March within the framework of reading activities in the country.
The workshop, which was held on Friday at the headquarters of the Mleiha Club, was presented by Dr. Essa Al Hammadi, Director of the Arabic Language Educational Center for Gulf States, in the presence of Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mleiha Club, members of the Board of Directors and representatives of the sports clubs participating in the festival from the central region of Sharjah.

At the beginning of the workshop, Al Khasouni welcomed the participating partners and clubs and their representatives, stressing that the festival will witness a book fair, accompanying workshops, a competition in reading, and a competition in general information.

Dr. Al Hammadi spoke at the workshop, reviewing the festival's categories and objectives, which are in line with the Sharjah cultural project, to promote the generation of players and invite them to read.

Al Hammadi explained that the festival constitutes an important cultural situation required by the clubs in the context of its objectives, a translation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as it meets the players' passion for reading and invites them to comprehend what is read by developing the player's skills in the field of reading, writing, and listening by accepting players, citizens, and residents of Sharjah clubs, to participate in the festival's reading competition, which is held on the sidelines of the festival and allows players from 7 to 17 years of age through two categories to progress after reading the required.

He mentioned during the workshop that the book in which the player will participate with is determined in several fields, for example (identity, heritage, sports, values, culture, literature, stories, novels etc.), which the player chooses himself. The participation is divided into two categories; the first category is age (7-12) in reading a book of no less than 50 pages, and the second category is from age (13-17) in reading a book of no less than 100 pages.
