Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation "Ruwad" affiliated to the Department of Economic Development in Sharjah has finished distributing 9,703 Iftar meals as part of its annual Ramadan initiative.
The initiative is organised for the fourth year, in cooperation with the Sharjah Charity International, with an increase of about 70% over the number of meals distributed last year. The initiative also contributes to promoting the spirit of charitable and humanitarian work, encouraging social responsibility among its members.
His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (Ruwad) stressed the importance of such initiatives in promoting solidarity among members of the Emirati society, enhancing the charitable, humanitarian and social works.
The initiative, being able to distribute 32,293 iftar meals for 4 years, contributed to draw smiles on the faces of the fasting people, who expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Foundation and its members, lauding such kind gesture that reflects the importance of giving and benevolence.
