Sharjah24: Sharjah Youth, a subsidiary of Rubu’ Qarn for creating leders and innovators, organised over 185 diverse activities, workshops, and competitions during the Rubu’ Qarn Ramadan events. These activities were held in Sharjah's youth centers and aimed at youth aged between 13 and 18 years old, providing both fun and educational experiences during the holy month of Ramadan.
Through this event, Sharjah Youth aims to instill values in its members, stimulate their creativity, and encourage optimal use of their time. This aligns with Rubu’ Qarn’s mission to discover, develop, and invest in the potential of future generations in a stimulating Emirati environment that promotes innovation.
The activities are rich and varied, catering to the passion of members and contributing to their intellectual development, knowledge acquisition, skill-building, and experience enhancement. The volunteering program encourages members to exert effort and give back, while the traditional games program connects the youth to their ancestral heritage. This event will continue until April 13, 2023.
The young participants were exposed to the most important scientific and cultural experiences that Sharjah offers in the Ramadan Tour program. They also took part in the "Handmade" program, which focuses on the artistic creativity aspect. The activities provided an opportunity for participants to learn how to control and program drones, as well as other programs related to science, technology, and robotics.
Moreover, there are various sporting competitions that take place in each center, such as indoor soccer, judo, volleyball, water polo, and e-football.
These activities take place in Sharjah's eight youth centers, located in Wasit, Al Dhaid, Al Thameed, Al Madam, Mleiha, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Dibba Al Hisn, after the Taraweeh prayer from 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
