Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed 23 street lighting projects in Sharjah during 2022, with installing 4032 new lighting poles at a distance of 55.68 km, as well as implementing a maintenance work for another 24,043 poles. This comes in line with the Authority's plan to implement road lighting networks in all regions according to standards and specifications of high quality and efficiency.
Commenting on this, Dr. Eng. Hassan Al Zarooni, Director of the Electricity Distribution Department, confirmed that the number of lighting poles in the streets of Sharjah has increased significantly during the recent period, providing the best services to the residents of the Emirate of Sharjah, with using the latest technologies, and taking all measures that enhance energy efficiency, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
He stressed the Authority’s keenness to continue providing the best services to all the residents and in the city of Sharjah across all regions.
