Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has started implementing its plan for the year 2023 to complete the lighting projects in the emirate’s Central Region.
Since the beginning of 2023, in Al Hosn lighting project in Al Dhaid, SEWA has installed 52 poles and 52 searchlights and extended cables with a length of 2400 metres at a cost of AED 273,000. Maintenance work has also been completed in a number of areas at a cost of AED97,000. SEWA has also completed lighting of the new Al Dhaid lake project, installing 71 poles and 71 searchlights and extended cables with a length of 3600 metres at a cost of AED 470,000. Maintenance in several other areas have also been done at a cost of AED97,000.

Engineer Khalifa Mohammed Al Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, confirmed that the authority is working to complete its plan to light all areas and provide the best services in coordination and cooperation with all sides through preparing plans and implementing development projects in the Central Region and following up on the requirements of the people and facilitating procedures for government services and projects that contribute to developing and serving the Central Region and its residents.
