Sharjah 24: The activities of the seventh edition of the Sharjah Aquarium Carnival have started at the Sharjah Aquarium headquarters, as announced by Rashid Al Shamsi, Secretary of the Sharjah Aquarium.
Organised by the Sharjah Museums Authority, the five-day carnival, which runs from 5 to 10 pm everyday, includes workshops, a play, competitions, games, cinematic shows and a fish feeding show.
He told “Sharjah 24” that this year’s carnival focuses on the theme of "coral reefs", as it takes visitors on an interesting journey to see coral reefs in their bright colors, where they have the opportunity to watch them up close and know the difference between them and sea sponges and learn about their vital role in the marine environment. Activities are organised inside and outside the building.
Al Shamsi pointed out that the carnival in its current edition presents, for the first time, an awareness message underwater to preserve the cleanliness of our marine environment, as well as a carnival march. The events include many interesting shows, fun activities, and entertaining competitions that suit all members of society of all age groups.
He invited everyone to visit the Sharjah Aquarium and enjoy the carnival activities.
