Sharjah24: Emirati artist Ahmed Al Jassmi, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Theatrical Association, expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, praising His Highness for his generous and unwavering support, which has contributed to the achievements of theatre practitioners both locally and across the Arab world.
Al Jassmi expressed his delight at the third edition of Emirati Theatre Day, which the Association chose to coincide with the birthday of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. He noted that the occasion provides theatre professionals with an opportunity to celebrate their achievements, all of which have been made possible through the full support of the Ruler of Sharjah.
In statements to Sharjah 24, Al Jassmi added that the celebration featured the operetta "Pledge and Commitment", which symbolises a pledge to remain loyal to the UAE and a promise to stay faithful to the homeland and its wise leadership.
He explained that the artistic performance reflected the strong bond between the people of the UAE and their leadership, while celebrating the country's national identity and cultural heritage.
