Sharjah24: Sharjah Aquarium (SA) received its visitors by providing workshops and a set of activities at the end of 2021, as well as attracting a number of new fish that were recently added to display in the aquariums of the aquarium.
The Sharjah Aquarium was opened in 2008, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, with the aim of highlighting the beauty of the local fish.

Commenting on this, Rashid Juma Al Shamsi, Secretary of Sharjah Aquarium, confirmed in exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24”, that the Sharjah Aquarium did not stop implementing its plans during the period of the spread of the epidemic, stressing that the Sharjah Aquarium has continued developing new plans to receive visitors after the pandemic, with various workshops and programs, that target children who want to learn more about fish. He added that the "little biologist" program will start at the end of this year.

Al Shamsi added that a large number of visitors are citizens, pointing out that the Sharjah Aquarium studied the topics that attract the most visitors, as events and activities will be held at the end of 2021, including the Sharjah Aquarium Carnival, where there will be new and different activities from previous years. In addition to that there will be a campaign to clean up the marine environment, with further details to be announced in the future about it.
