Sharjah24: A cultural session held in the Sharjah Heritage Days confirmed that the Islamic civilization, with its broad heritage, is full of many types of science and creative arts that enlightened the world with its radiance and contributed to raising the influential role in the development of global civilization and the service of humanity as a whole.
The session, which was held by the Cultural Café, was moderated by Dr. Mona Bounaama, Director of Content and Publishing Department at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in the participation with Dr. Saleh Al-Luhaibi, Associate Professor in the Department of History and Islamic Civilization at the University of Sharjah, and Dr. Ahmed Subaihi, Associate Professor at the American College in Dubai.
Dr. Saleh Al-Lahibi touched on the issue of creativity in the Islamic civilization, where he talked about the reality of this creativity and its manifestations, indicating how Muslims were able throughout their long history to achieve qualitative leaps in the field of scientific, artistic and value creativity.
He pointed out that these creations are pervasive in the reality of the lives of Muslims and other peoples of the world, and are distinguished by their multiple fields, especially in the field of manufacturing knowledge vessels, including the manufacture of manuscripts, pointing out that these manuscripts are unique in distinctive products and names, and are manifested in many forms and varieties.
He explained that the emergence of the Islamic manuscripts industry came gradually, as it began and developed over time in terms of content and scientific content, as well as in terms of the material aspect, including papers, pens and inks, as well as the necessary arts and skills associated with this industry.
