The event coincides with the municipality's festivities for the "Haq Al Laila" half-night of Sha'ban.
The Chairman of the Sharjah Municipal Council, Salem Ali Al Muhairi, has stated that the expansion of the establishment of parks is a reflection of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah’s interest in the family and to constitute an environment for social communication between the residents of the same neighbourhood and also contribute to enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the city.
Sharjah Municipality Director General Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji stated that the garden covers an area of 44,000 square metres, of which the municipality worked on an estimated 41,432 square metres, which included green spaces and various types of flowers (7,000 seasonal flowers) and planted nearly 6,000 different plants.
