Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) will hold its fifteenth annual March Symposium at the Africa Institute Hall in Sharjah from March 9 to March 12. The event will last for four days, from March 9 to March 12. The 15th Sharjah Biennial opened on February 7, 2023, so this new iteration comes afterwards.
The March Symposium is titled "The Post-Colonial World Order: Art, Culture, and Politics after 1960," and includes a programme that brings together artists, curators, visual arts practitioners, and students from all over the world to discuss pressing issues centred around the main theme of "Thinking Historically in the Present".
This year's March Symposium will focus on the movements and interactions of artists, filmmakers, performers, thinkers, authors, philosophers, academics, activists, rebel movements, and other players in the social sphere, both within and outside the limited framework of the "sovereign national state."
