Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi: Sharjah Biennial spreads creativity in ER

Sharjah24: Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, confirmed that the this year Sharjah Biennial witnesses an expansion of events and exhibition sites, aiming to spread creativity in several cities in the Eastern Region, specifically the cities of Khorfakkan and Kalba. She has also highlighted the significant increase in the number of artists and guests during this year’s activities.

The Sharjah Art Foundation organised on Wednesday a visit for a large crowd of artists and guests of the Sharjah Biennial in the eastern region, where the Biennial shows are located in the old Kalba Kindergarten, then the Kalba Ice Factory, and the Khorfakkan Cinema.

In statements to “Sharjah 24”, she added that a tour was organised to identify the artworks in the sites of the eastern region, most notably the old Kalba kindergarten, and the Kalba Ice Factory, which has been restored and officially opened, as the Foundation’s newest site.

Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi concluded her statement indicating that the factory, which represents a great artistic addition to the city, witnessed a great development and expansion, as it was provided with a number of facilities.
