Sharjah 24: Ismail Al Rifai, Arabic Editorial and Content Consultant at the Sharjah Art Foundation, stated that the launch of Sharjah Biennial 15, on Tuesday, came after 4 years of the COVID-19 pandemic, witnessing the presence of 300 artworks distributed in the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.

He maintained that Sharjah Biennial 15 is launched under the theme: “Thinking Historically in the Present,” curated by Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah Art Foundation.

He added, in statements to "Sharjah 24", that in addition to the artworks, there is a programme full of musical performances, films, a large series of dialogues, and an educational programme that involves the local community.

He pointed out that the Sharjah Biennale is a large artistic space at the local and international levels, and thus promotes the artistic movement in the region.
