Sharjah 24: Last year, the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) received 4,104 requests for permanent electrical connections, 5,603 requests for approval of project-specific electricity plans, and 236 requests for temporary electrical connections.
The authority received 3,563 requests for permanent water connections, 3,844 requests for plan approval, and 248 requests for temporary water connections.

According to Engineer Ibrahim Al Balghouni, Director of Shared Services, the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority follows the objectives and guidelines defined by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and operates under the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council.

He also emphasised that the transition to an advanced digital infrastructure, and its use of cutting-edge technology, would result in the timely and uninterrupted delivery of services. In addition to maintaining the continuity of electricity, water, and gas services aided in the application process, speeding plan approval, delivering services, and completing transactions precisely and efficiently, saving consumers time and effort.
