SEWA completes several development projects in Kalba in 2022

SEWA has completed establishing and connecting 8 stations including 11 km. P and replacing overhead lines 11 k. with ground cables with a length of 5 km in the Al-Ghail region, and the cancelling overhead lines with a length of 2 km in the Wadi Al-Helo region, in addition to a number of maintenance and network development projects.

A pumping station and extension of water lines were also constructed with the cost of AED 27 million in Al Hafiyah Lake , A ground water tank with a capacity of half a million was established , in addition to five pumps with international specifications; the capacity of each pump is 660 cubic meters per hour, which aims to meet the future needs of the region.

Engineer Moza Al Zaabi, Director of the Kalba Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, confirmed that the projects implemented in the city of Kalba to develop all areas and provide services according to the best specifications around the clock, as the authority works on the continuous development of its projects to contribute to the construction and development process led by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.


She explained that the projects of Kalba in 2022 included the connection of electricity services to the pumping station in Al Hafiya lake, the delivery of electricity and water services to the Clock Tower Square, the Qalaa neighborhood mosque, the heritage village in Kalba, the Sheikh Saeed House ,the new Kalba Batcher Market ,connection of water and electricity services to the Kalba Waterfront project, the astronomical observatory, the Victoria School ,the data center of Etisalat, the connection of electricity and water services to the ice factory building of the arts, the delivery of water services to Al Hafiya Lake and filling it with 86 million gallons of water, connecting electricity and water services to 36 commercial buildings with Kalba wall and 41 buildings in the Suhaila region, connecting electricity and water services to 57 shops in the traditional Kalba market, and connecting electricity and water services to 151 residential villas in the Al-Saf area.
